INDEX — Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of INDEX, a curated website directory available at usefulwebsiteindex.com (the "Site"), owned and operated by LSL Media LLC ("LSL Media," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. What INDEX Is

INDEX is a curated directory of third-party websites and online tools, organized by category and subcategory. Listings may include a title, description, use cases, features, an icon and/or photo, and — where available — one or more embedded YouTube videos. The Site is provided for informational and discovery purposes only.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site or submit a listing suggestion. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Site with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Site, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. AI-Generated Content

Listing descriptions, use cases, features, and imagery on the Site may be generated or assisted by artificial intelligence tools based on publicly available information about the listed website. While we take reasonable steps to review this content for accuracy before publication, AI-generated content can contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or currentness of any listing, and you should independently verify any information before relying on it.

4. No Endorsement; Third-Party Sites

Inclusion of a website or service in the INDEX directory is not an endorsement, sponsorship, or guarantee of that website's quality, safety, legality, or reliability. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, terms of service, security practices, or practices of any third-party websites listed on or linked from the Site. Your interactions with any third-party website are solely between you and that website's operator.

Icon images and "Photos" shown alongside a listing may be pulled directly from that third-party site's own publicly published branding or preview imagery (for example, its Open Graph preview image) for the sole purpose of visually identifying the listing. We do not claim ownership of any such image, and its appearance on the Site does not imply any affiliation between us and the third-party site.

5. User Submissions

The Site allows visitors to suggest a website for inclusion via the "Suggest a site" form. By submitting a suggestion, you represent that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to submit it. Submitted suggestions are reviewed before any listing is published, and we may accept, reject, or edit any submission at our sole discretion. We do not guarantee that any submission will be published, and we do not compensate submitters.

6. YouTube API Services

Certain listing pages on the Site display videos retrieved and embedded using YouTube API Services. By using any feature of the Site that displays YouTube content, you are also agreeing to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

You can review the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy, which governs the collection and use of data by Google/YouTube in connection with YouTube API Services.

We select embedded videos programmatically based on relevance to a listing and apply automated checks intended to avoid embedding content flagged as "Made for Kids." We do not control the content, availability, or continued existence of any third-party YouTube video, and a video may be removed or become unavailable at any time without notice to us.

7. Intellectual Property

The Site's design, layout, original written content, and underlying software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Trademarks, logos, and brand names of third-party websites that appear on the Site (including in icons or preview images) remain the property of their respective owners and are used solely to identify the listed website, not to claim any association with or endorsement by that owner.

8. Reporting a Listing / Copyright and Trademark Concerns

If you believe a listing is broken, unsafe, misleading, spam, or infringes your copyright or trademark rights, please contact us at contact@usefulwebsiteindex.com with:

  • The URL of the listing on our Site;
  • A description of the issue or, for an intellectual property claim, identification of the copyrighted or trademarked material and a statement of your good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized;
  • Your contact information.

We will review reports and may remove or modify a listing at our discretion. This section describes our voluntary notice-and-response process and does not itself constitute a formal statutory takedown procedure; a separate, fully compliant copyright takedown procedure (including a registered designated agent) will be published if and when established.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through the Site;
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Site in a manner that imposes an unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site, including administrative functions;
  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE AND ALL LISTINGS, CONTENT, AND INFORMATION PROVIDED ON IT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (A) YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE; (B) ANY THIRD-PARTY WEBSITE LISTED ON THE SITE; OR (C) ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE SITE, INCLUDING AI-GENERATED CONTENT AND EMBEDDED YOUTUBE VIDEOS.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your submission of content to the Site.

13. Termination

We may suspend or restrict access to the Site, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice, for any reason, including suspected violation of these Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Florida.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
